Program Overview

The Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Healthcare Administration prepares students with the academic knowledge, technical competencies, and practical experience required for administrative and operational careers within hospitals, clinics, physician practices, outpatient centers, long-term care facilities, public health organizations, insurance companies, and other healthcare institutions.

The program combines classroom instruction with practical healthcare simulations, electronic health record activities, healthcare finance exercises, quality improvement projects, healthcare leadership training, supervised practicum experience, and a comprehensive capstone project.

Students develop expertise in healthcare systems, medical terminology, healthcare finance, revenue cycle management, healthcare law and ethics, health information systems, electronic health records, human resource administration, healthcare quality improvement, patient safety, healthcare leadership, healthcare analytics, healthcare policy, and artificial intelligence applications in healthcare.

Graduates are prepared to contribute effectively to modern healthcare organizations by supporting administrative operations, improving healthcare delivery processes, coordinating patient services, maintaining regulatory compliance, and assisting leadership.
